I’ve found the second best TV show ever (after Life on Mars): the Canadian series Slings & Arrows.
That is all.
(Technorati tags: Slings & Arrows, Paul Gross, Leatherheads, Roland Emmerich, Forgetting Sarah Marshall)
If you can find it anywhere, Paul Gross is at least as good, if not better, in ‘Due South’. Back when there could be such a thing as gentle ribbing of Canadian and American stereotypes and expectations.
Now that I think about it, the show is basically Life on Mars starring a Canadian Mountie in an American police station.
If you’ve never seen it and have an empty spot on your Netflix queue or something, I’d suggest trying to track it down.
so you blame the guy who did 10,000 bc for making wooly mammoths so dull , lets get this fact straight mj , wooly mammoths are boring, all they are , are hairy elephants ok, next, your about to review another elephant movie pretty soon, also your current boyfriend is beyond ugly. ok? why not shoot for Eric Bana, someone with class.
Hdj, no offense, but you are a troglodite.
That’s great that you’re discovering Slings & Arrows! I just finished the series, and it really is one of the best TV series I’ve ever seen. So well put-together, with a great cast. Can’t wait to see what you think of it.
Yes, I’m must check out *Due South* — I remember when it was TV, but I never saw it.
One warning, HDJ: one more comment like that, and you’re banned.
Maybe you will enjoy Forgetting Sarah Marshall if you don’t think of it as a Judd Apatow movie.
Jason Segel (Freaks & Geeks, How I Met Your Mother) wrote & stars in it– you like him, right??? Give the kid a break. :)
Everybody gets a break as much as their latest project demands it. I will enjoy or not enjoy *Sarah Marshall* based on what it is, not what everyone involved in it has done before.
MaryAnn would never admit to loving an Apatow inspired film even if she did enjoy it. I think that Cox was the only one she has given a good review to. It does not matter how much intelligence or heart the film has, which Marshall has plenty. MaryAnn uses her site not as much as to review movies but to promote her own agenda and ideals. For Knocked Up she actually had the comment that any woman that got pregnant by a guy that looked like Seth Rogen should get herself to an abortion clinic right away. Her reviews have always been biased by they have have gotten outrageously so in the past year or so. I would not be surprised if she did not even see Sarah Marshall and just wrote a review before hand. That’s more her style

Disagree with me all you want, but that borders on slander. What basis do you have for saying such a thing?

You’re wrong. What possible purpose could I have for lying about how I feel about a movie?

And there: You just proved yourself wrong!

To what possible end? Seriously, I want to know what you think I would gain from not being honest about my opinion on a movie?
