see Michael Moore’s new movie for free
Michael Moore — that wacko filmmaker behind such incendiary rants as Bowling for Columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11, and Sicko — is up to his crazy-ass lunacy again. He’s got a new documentary just out called Slacker Uprising. Robert Greenwald of Brave New Films, which is helping to distribute the film, explains that:
Moore has set his sights on the Bush administration and our nation’s voter turnout in his latest film, Slacker Uprising, which chronicles his 62-city swing state tour of college campuses just prior to the 2004 election.
Insane! Can’t you just hear the frenzied anti-American ravings from there? But here’s the really nutty thing: Moore is giving the movie away. Free fer nuthin’. Yup, totally free. Just go to the film’s official site and sign up.
That’s a catch, I guess: You have to give Mike your email address. Oh, and here’s another catch: You have to be in the U.S. or Canada. It’s probably some sort of copyright thing. But other than that, it’s totally free. Why? Moore says:
This is being done entirely as a gift to my fans. The only return any of us are hoping for is the largest turnout of young voters ever at the polls in November.
Getting young people to vote? Why does he hate America so much? Can’t we deport him to Cuba or something?
(If you’d rather see the film on your TV, which includes lots of bonus features, you can buy a DVD for only $9.95, which is pretty cheap. Or you can request a free DVD for your university or school library.)
I haven’t seen the film yet, but I plan to. If you give it a shot, lemme know what you think.
