such a nasty woman | by maryann johanson

I found the entrance to the dwarven halls!

Another pic from my journeys through England: Khazad-dûm!

This is a door of a church in the Cotswolds village of Stow-on-the-Wold, which some folks think may have inspired Tolkien — who was based in nearby Oxford — when he was writing The Lord of the Rings.

Wow, that’s an awesome door. Are those on the sides really trees?

  • they are huge yew trees which are on either side of the door. gave me the shivers as soon as i saw it — i probably took 30 photos of it in the space of ten minutes!
