trailer break: ‘Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian’

Take a break from work: watch a trailer…

As long as Steve Coogan and Owen Wilson are back, I’m there. Oh, they are back? Excellent. Ooo, and Amy Adams as Amelia Earhart? Cool. Hank Azaria as an Egyptian pharaoh? Nice. In fact, let’s keep all the neat-o museum people played by hilarious and charismatic actors and get rid of Ben Stiller, and we might have a halfway decent movie. At least it looks like they may have dumped the hokey divorced-dad stuff that weighed down the first movie.

Also: The Air and Space Museum is my other favorite museum in the world, after the American Museum of National History in New York, where the first film was set. So either the filmmakers are gonna ruin another museum for me, or they’re gonna redeem themselves for screwing up the first movie so badly. Take a guess which one I think is gonna happen…

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian opens in the U.K. on May 20, and in the U.S. on May 22.
