What is the difference between the colored dots (white vs green and red dots)? What program is this? Pretty cool though.

  • Drave

    Portland, OR checking in!

  • Keith

Oh, and, Hello from Arlington, TX.

  • MaryAnn

    What are the colors for?

It’s from SiteMeter, and the colors only have to do with timing: the red dot is the most recent visit when I took the snapshot, green are the previous 10 before that, and white the previous 100 before that.

  • amanohyo

Hello from North Dakota. Yes, the people here really do talk like Marge Gunderson.

  • Janus

    Hello from Vancouver, BC, Canada!

  • doa766

funny how time flies by, today a coworker mentioned that Michael Jackson died a year ago today

if someone would ask me about it yesterday I would’ve said it was 4 or 5 months ago at the most

  • Mo

*waves* Hi from Nova Scotia, Canada. ^.^

Wow, is one of those green dots from way up in Churchill, Manitoba? Hello Churchill!

  • I see Vancouver is already represented. Still…

    Oh hai, MaryAnn!

  • JoshDM

    Greetings from R’lyeh.

  • Todd

    Hola from Tucson, Arizona

  • I’m in Thailand and I haven’t shown up on the map, presumably because I wasn’t among the most recent 111 visitors when you took the snapshot.

  • Saludos from that mysterious place that lies east of the sun and west of the moon.

Okay, I’m actually from Dallas, Texas, but it sounds more poetic to put it the other way. And I just know you’re too young to get a Doors reference.

  • gensing

    Ciao – from Milano!

  • Hi from the UK.

  • Joanne

    London, UK – hello!

  • Hello from the UK. The sun is shining and it’s glorious! I’m on the train somewhere between Southampton (where I live and work) and London (where I’ve got a meeting). Not sure if the location-meter will be able to detect that from my iPad :-)

  • Fasihah

Hey from Singapore! We’re so small, you can’t even see us on the map.

  • jem

G’day from Canberra, Australia – cold, wet and wintry but we’ve finally got a female Prime Minister!

  • Jan Willem

Greetings from Haarlem, the Netherlands, which gave Harlem, NY, its name.

  • Bill

new haven, ct. yeah, i guess that’s about it.

  • Dart

  • judy

Salem Oregon where we just had the most miserable rainiest Spring in 40 years.

  • markyd

Wow. Such a diverse group! I’m surprised I’m the first one to check in from the Chicago area. I live in Joliet, which is a SW burb of Chicago.

  • Ed Duffy

Llanddewi Brefi, Wales (originally from Birmingham, Eng). New to the site, led here after googling around to see what the word on the web was re the Who finale. Think I’ll be sticking around too, as this place seems right up my street.

And I just know you’re too young to get a Doors reference.

And the award for “most shameless buttering up of the site host” goes to… *crinkling of envelope* …Tonio Kruger. ;-)

  • MaryAnn

What? You mean you’re not getting my dot? Busan, South Korea.

The map isn’t live and continually updating. It’s just a snapshot of the moment when I grabbed the image. Sorry. :-(

I keep wanting to see a dot in Antarctica. I know they get the Internet down there. But their IP would probably show up as somewhere in South America or the South Pacific.

If anyone is reading this from the South Pole (or has in the past), lemme know. That would be really cool. Subzero, in fact. :->

  • Isobel

Currently Westminster, London, UK ’cause I’m at work (naughty me on t’internet). More usually visiting from Caterham, Surrey, UK.

Deliciously sunny and warm and – gasp! – it’s actually supposed to continue over the weekend and into next week! It must be the sunniest Wimbledon fortnight ever (I’ve jinxed it for the finals now, though, haven’t I. . . ).

  • Nina

hello from Los Angeles! Found this site just over a month ago & loving it.

  • Accounting Ninja

    Hello from New Hampshire, USA!

    Awesomely diverse crowd!

Oh, and JoshDM: I see what you did there. :)

Seattle, where it’s shaping up to be the most miserable, rainiest summer since I’ve lived here.

  • Kassia

Another from Nova Scotia Canada. I’ve just started reading this site about a month ago.

  • Greetings from Luxembourg.

  • LaSargenta

  • Althea

Hey, Tonio, you’re from Big D too! Waving atcha from Lower Greenville.

  • Delphine

Hello from Lille , North of France ! I’m a Dcotor Who fan

  • Mimi

ff fan in Washington, DC (Well, not this week, but ordinarily.)

  • millie

Hello from Buckingham, Quebec! I’ve been reading for 8 years or so; I don’t remember how I found this site. All I know is over the years I’ve discovered–and forgot about–a lot of movie reviewing sites, but FF has always been one of my favorite.

  • grj

Northwestern Ontario. I’m the white dot closest to the green one on the shore of Hudson Bay.

First review I ever read was for Moulin Rouge; I loved it as much as you did, and have been coming back ever since. Maybe eight years?

  • Hello from Brookline, New Hampshire!

I came for the Doctor Who recaps, and stayed for the rest…

  • lavachew

Greetings from Chennai (which is not on the map, sadly.) Can’t remember how I first found the site, but I love the Doctor Who blogging and the reviews, even though most of the movies don’t make it here.

  • Lisa

    Howdy cowboys!

  • McFeely

    Pittsburgh PA here

  • Eavan

Huge FF fan from Wicklow, Ireland

  • Ben

Lurking in Sydney, Australia. Love the site, ever since I followed a Penny Arcade link over here. Love the Doctor Who blogging, can’t wait to see what you thought of the finale.

  • Tattoosydney

Another lurker in Sydney here… MaryAnn your Dr Who blogging makes me very happy… Even if I do have to try so hard to resist reading about the latest episode before it gets shown here on the following Sunday night.

  • Ann Elise

    Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ya-you betcha!

  • stryker1121

Cleveland, Oh: This town, is my town, all right.

  • Hey, Tonio, you’re from Big D too! Waving atcha from Lower Greenville.

Waving back atcha, Althea, from somewhere east of Greenville and north of LBJ. (Not that such a location is likely to make sense to anyone outside of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Hopefully, it makes sense to you…)

  • I guess I’m the dot from China, then, but I’m actually in Nanjing and that dot looks closer to Shanghai, which is where it’s routed through. But it’s a big dot. Maybe I’m on the rim.

  • Hello from Brooklyn. As our borough prez likes to say: “It’s not Brooklyn, New York. It’s Brooklyn, USA.”

    OK, I’ll start. Barcelona, Spain.
Yes, it is as fantastic as you imagine.

    I don’t know, I can imagine quite a bit. ;-)
