the Pandorica opens…

…and it must be the Doctor himself inside, mustn’t it? Surely he is “the most feared being in all of the cosmos” — isn’t he?
Though I still suspect that this “box, cage, prison” of the Pandorica — the “fairy tale” — is just a metaphorical one, and the opening of the Pandorica is really going to be “just” the Doctor reawakening to the real world.

We’ll see shortly.

Doctor Who: “The Pandorica Opens” starts on BBC One momentarily, and tonight on BBC America, “Cold Blood.”

Don’t spoil “The Pandorica Opens” here! (We’re already spoiling “Cold Blood” here.) My blogging coming asap tomorrow.

The Doctor is not the most feared being in the universe. There are, after all, about 30 million girl geeks who *lust* for him. …and about 1 million guy geeks who *lust* for him, not that there’s anything wrong with that.

So, who or what can be the most feared being in all the universe?

Hmmm, the list as known:

5) The Terminator, early 800 series model 101, pre-hacked.
4) The Taxman (thank you, guy who wrote the Sun Makers episode!)
3) Any Vogon with a poetry collection
2) Dick Cheney, no wait, he’s the most loathed…
1) Alex Trebek (“The game show host?!” “Well, he said it was someone who LOOKED like Alex Trebek…”)

It’s not even worth spoiling this one. I doubt I could even scratch the surface of what the hell is going on.

What about the beast from the two parter “the impossible planet/the satan pit”? The Doctor didn’t know/ didn’t believe such a being existed and the Pandorica is a fairytale to him so why not make the big bad a “make believe” monster? Oh and is it just me, or is anyone else glad the Daleks weren’t the final enemy as they have been for all except one season.

My total guess. It’s the Doctor but not Matt Smith. Why or how I have no clue that’s why it’s a guess.

I’ve been staring at the computer for at least five minutes trying to think of something to say and all I can come up with is:

“I can’t wait to see MAJ’s take on this.” Not to mention the rest of the Internet’s too.

Yes.

So many theories made up whilst watching that got discredited minutes later.

I hate you, Moff. I hate you in that geeky way that means I love you for torturing my soul.

Just have to say (new here btw)- at least we don’t have to wait months and months to get an answer. Only a week. The longest week since, well, series 4 when the Doctor got shot by the dalek and we had to wait to see whether or not he regenerated.

Best episode ever? I said that about Vincent and the Doctor – but this was just amazing. The revelation about the Pandorica makes complete sense and (I’m such a geek) had me thinking how pleased MAJ was going to be. SPOILING HERE if you care for it.

yes he is a crafty bugger – I caught on to what was happening pretty soon into the episode – because it did remind me a lot of the Satan Pit – that’s no spoiler at all.

can’t wait to see what MaryAnn thought of it too

(Spoiler free, but I’m busting to talk.)

One of the highlights for me was that bit where the thing that had grabbed that character opened up and dropped the thing out onto the floor. Boy, that was gruesome, and made those things seem retrospectively more ghastly since season two.

Heh. That’s all I’m going to say. Heh.

Unless you prefer MaryAnn’s favorite expression: tee-hee.

And oh, yes.

“Hello, sweetie” is now my favorite term of endearment. Fortunately a real-life female acquaintance of mine already uses it. But er, she doesn’t have red hair.

Of course, “Hola, Sweetie” would be even more awesome but then it is a British show.

I’m willing to bet the season finale involves so-and-so saving you-know-who from the you-know-what while using his or her whatchamacallit just as something big and dramatic happens.

However, I could be wrong…
