female gazing at: Bruce Greenwood

It’s happy birthday to Bruce Greenwood today. Any excuse to look.

Gotta love a man in uniform:

Am I the only one who watched Nowhere Man, and still wants to know how it would have turned out?

I’m posting pictures like these every weekday, of a man who is attractive and desirable, because I like to look, dammit — and because the female gaze doesn’t have to be such serious business.

(If you have a suggestion for someone we should female-gaze at, feel free to email me with a name or a link to a particular photo.)

I remember Nowhere Man! My family and I used to watch it every week. We were very disappointed when it was cancelled. Same thing happened with Brisco County Jr. It’s just not right.

Ohmygod yes yes yes! I didn’t know anyone else really “followed” Bruce Greenwood! I loved Nowhere Man and have been following Greenwood’s work ever since, with great pleasure. He’s always enjoyable no matter what he’s in. What a handsome, charismatic fella.

And I thought the Nowhere Man ending was one of those gamechanger-type deals that worked equally well as a cliffhanger AND a series finale.

Ooh! MaryAnn, do you think you might do a writeup (or even—dare I ask—individual episode writeups) for Nowhere Man? (It came out on DVD a few years ago.)

I’d love to do a writeup on *Nowhere Man.* It’s been in Netflix queue for a while now… just haven’t gotten to it yet.

Semi-interesting thing about Nowhere Man: it features an episode written by Jane Espenson, one of her earliest writing credits. She is Jester’s current award winner for Screenwriter-Most-Deserving-Of-Being-A-Showrunner-Who-Hasn’t-Done-It-Yet. I’d love to see what she could do with a show. She’s also one of the nicest people you’d ever want to meet, and has written episodes for (likely) half of the favorite shows of people who read this site. ;-) Examples: BSG, Firefly, Buffy, Dollhouse, more. She’s joining the Torchwood writing staff next.
