‘Doctor Who’ thing of the day: TARDIS Time Machine for Mac
If you’re not a Mac user, you may not be aware of Time Machine, the amazing bit of backup software that comes with the Mac OS. If you have an external hard drive hooked up to your computer, Time Machine will keep track of the various states of your computer at various stages in the past. That is to say: You can grab a version of an important file from yesterday, or the version from a week ago, or the version from a month before that. It seems like magic, but it works.
So, naturally, the inevitable has happened: Some kid named Max crammed a 1TB hard drive into a TARDIS toy for a proper Time Machine for his Mac:
