‘Doctor Who’ thing of the day: new Lego-compatible toy sets and figures

Lots of people are doing lots of interesting Doctor Who-related things with Lego toy bricks. But if you’ve been looking for official Lego Doctor Who toys, you’ve been out of luck. Until now. Well, sort of.

The British toy company Charcter has just released a bunch of new Lego-compatible toy brick sets and figurines scaled to work with Legos. There’s the Tardis Mini Construction Playset [Amazon U.K.], which comes with a Doctor and an Amy:

And the Dalek Progenitor Room Mini Construction Playset [Amazon U.K.], which comes with a Dalek:

And a Weeping Angels set (available only from Character at the moment), which comes with a Weeping Angel:

And figurines, sold individually (also available only from Character):

I was inspired to go in search of Lego Doctor Who toys by Cate, age 11, who made this Lego K-9:

and wanted other Lego toys to go with them. And who’s the lucky girl getting some in the mail soon? She is, of course.

(If you stumble across a cool Doctor Who thing, feel free to email me with a link.)
