such a nasty woman | by maryann johanson

America loves The Lorax (and other adventures in social networking)

What my followers on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ saw today:
• Star Wars would look very different if not for McQuarrie’s amazing work… Conceptual Star Wars Artist Ralph McQuarrie Passes Away

• Really, America? Box Office: ‘The Lorax’ posts year’s biggest opening with $70.7 million

• Looks like Pakistan is gettin’ all Westernized! Anti-intellectual trends on television decried

• Best bit: “‘I do exercise! But I don’t diet. You can’t work when you’re hungry, you know?'” Hunger Games Star Jennifer Lawrence: ‘I Don’t Diet’

• The framing of this is odd. Michael Jackson’s “entire back catalogue” is already out there for anyone to listen to, or to copy. So really it’s only the unreleased stuff that’s an issue, right? Hackers steal Jackson’s back catalogue
