question of the day: What White House position will Big Bird hold in the inevitable upcoming Romney administration?

Oh, you Romney haters and you meme creators, with your this:
Mitt Romney vs Big Bird

and your this:

Mitt Romney vs Big Bird

and your this:

Mitt Romney vs Big Bird

and your this:

Mitt Romney vs Big Bird

You’ve totally misinterpreted the Mittster! Sure, the other night Romney told debate moderator Jim Lehrer, of PBS’s NewsHour:

I’m sorry Jim. I’m gonna stop the subsidy to PBS. I’m gonna stop other things. I like PBS, I like Big Bird, I actually like you too.

(Via The Washington Post blog She The People.)

Yes, obviously, Sesame Street is toast, but Mitt likes Big Bird. Clearly the President-to-be is angling to put Big Bird in an important job in his White House!

Now we have only to guess what that job will be.

What White House position will Big Bird hold in the inevitable upcoming Romney administration? Secretary of State? Ambassador to Narnia? (Stephen Colbert has already asked to be Ambassador to Middle Earth, and I think we can rest assured that Colbert is a shoo-in for that, what with his ongoing public support for Romney.) Whatever position it is, it will be historic: Big Bird will be the first Avian-American to work in the White House. (I don’t think we can count Lady Bird Johnson, who as First Lady held only a ceremonial position.) So what will Big Bird’s first actions in that role be?
