question of the weekend: What are the top few things in your own “care and feeding instructions”?
This weekend’s question comes via two readers, who separately suggested semi-related discussions. First, from Aa, who wants to know:
What are the top X things in your own “care and feeding instructions”? Put another way: what do you need to do for yourself so that you don’t go serial killer on your mates.
And beccity98, who suggested we talk about:
What simple food do you make so specifically, no one else can make it for you?
Feel free to take on any or all of those slants. Boiled down:
What are the top few things in your own “care and feeding instructions”?
For me, it’s all about tea. With the sole exception of bronxbee, who makes a mean cuppa, I am rarely satisfied with a cup of tea that I do not make myself. It’s all about getting the mix of sweetner, milk, and tea correct in the right cup. It’s almost impossible to get a really decent cup of tea made just the way I like it outside — even here in England — that I tend to buy coffee if I need a pick-me-up. I don’t have the same relationship with coffee, and I’m not particularly particular about it, so my expectations are much lower.
This QOTW comes via a previous QOTW, which asked “What kinds of things would you like to learn about your fellow FlickFilosopher readers?” Feel free to continue adding suggestions there for me to grab for future use.
