fun stuff from FlickFilosopher stats week of May 4-10 2013

Actual unretouched phrases that people plugged into search engines this week that led them to this site (with some commentary from me):

“benedict cumberbatch is in starfleet” <-- I know! *squeee* “boobs in space” “flickfilosopher won't let me” <-- the power! the mad sweet power! “what are the arts” “classic dr who vs new dr who” <-- like, in what ways? “geek goddess scientific method” “alan rickman female” <-- I can’t even “starship intercourse” “how is tyler perry and shakespeare similar” <-- bwahahahahaha “was shakespeare an alien”

Of course Shakespeare was an alien! Didn’t you hear that accent?! He ain’t no Murican…

Both Tyler Perry and Shakespeare write scripts that supposedly deal with human beings.

(I have met the publisher’s assistant who came up with the phrase, for a dire fantasy trilogy, “comparable to Tolkien at his best”. She assured me that the author in question really had no idea that there was any other than a positive way to read it.)

No comment on “geek goddess scientific method”? (I should hope a geek is also a fan of the scientific method.)

And, you know, I *always* wondered how we get little starships.

  • I got nothin’ for that one.
