My eyeballs are constantly tickled by the delightful pattern of the bricks in this street. (In Covent Garden.)
Where is that?
Monmouth Street, in Seven Dials.
Thank you – I must have had my eyes shut last time I was down there.
It’s surprising (to me) how clear the pattern stays with only normal street-cleaning.
Back when I was living in Miramichi, I was looking forward to the brick accents they planned on using downtown during the major renovations.
Somewhere along the line, someone decided they were too expensive, so they use a mold to press brick-shaped lines in the asphalt, and spray painted them brick-red.
