Back in the spring I showed you the historic Southbank skatepark that the local council wants to move. Here, the skaters respond to an announcement of what the new space could look like.
if i didn’t say it before, i’ll say it now. boo on this. keep the skateboard park.
Agreed. It’s a unique space, and part of why Southbank is so fun. Getting rid of it and replacing it with a string of chain stores will dilute the area’s distinctiveness.
which is why they’ll build the chain stores… unique is only good if it makes someone rich.
