I disagree. They’re not ruining our experience of the new Star Wars film; they’re making it better by not attending.
(Although of course they’re attending. Who are they kidding?)
You remember the obnoxious kids in elementary school? The teachers said: “They just want a reaction. If they don’t get it, they’ll stop”? These are the same people. Unfortunately, the teachers were lying. They don’t stop. But we should still avoid giving them a reaction. Or we could point and laugh.
We girls were also told that it means a boy likes us when he pulls our hair or is mean to us. That also turned out not to be true.
Sadly, some of the more dangerous boys take the advice seriously, and use it as an excuse:
In the past, even Simpson has speculated about his possible guilt. “Let’s say I committed this crime,” he told Esquire magazine in 1998. “Even if I did do this, it would have to have been because I loved her very much, right?”
It could be true, but those people are assholes anyways so who cares about their feelings.
