I think I’m finally going to watch Idiocracy this week and see if there’s anything it didn’t get right.

  • It’s too optimistic?

The “dumb people breed too much” at the beginning is probably not true, and has some nasty classist and (in other contexts) racist connotations. The rest of it is pretty accurate, though.

Donald Trump is a female country singer?!

That must be some make-up job…

  • Tonio Kruger

    Probably?

    Gee, thanks.

    As for racist connotations…

Well, the concept has inspired some ugly political commentary, to say the least.

I watched Brazil a few years back and I’m still a bit shocked at how much that movie got right. Idiocracy almost seems like wishful thinking by comparison, if not director Mike Judge’s penance for creating Beavis and Butthead.

Then again it’s not usually the stupid people we have to worry about:

Not sure what the sarcasm is about. I have heard from several people that the theory has been discredited, but I don’t want to make definitive claims about something I’m not an expert on and only know about third hand.

    Fair enough.
