Since you used to be a big fan of the British version of Being Human, I’m surprised that you didn’t go with this.
I hadn’t seen that, but I don’t know how that relates to the US presidential election. What am I missing?
I could ask the same question of the Bender sign but since you asked a legitimate question…
SPOILERS for Being Human (UK):
The slogan on the poster is directed at the same target as the Bender sign. It’s just more subtle about it. Blame it on the British knack for understatement, if you like.
Nope, I still don’t get it. The sign and the hashtag are clearly playing with Bernie Sanders’ campaign. The Being Human image is four years old.
Votes for Robots!
And the Futurama quote is even older…
Anyway, it says something about how frequently I see Bernie Sanders signs in my neck of the woods that it took me a while — and a bit of Googling — to get why the above image was connected to the Sanders campaign — and not a slam against politicians in general. And now that I get it — well, this is obviously one instance where your sense of humor is different from mine.
However, given the plethora of Trump = Hitler gags on the Net, it’s probably just as well that you don’t see the potential for an anti-Trump gag in the Being Human image as well.
But the sign is clearly brand new.
