The Jubilee line stations have always looked like something out of dystopian sci-fi to me…
I have always suspected that the architect had seen Stalinist architecture emphasising the triviality of the individual in the face of the State, and thought “what a neat idea”.
could also be the final stop of the 7 train on the manhattan side.
You mean the new station? (Or is that the L?) Interesting…
Does that have fixed doors at the platform edge? The pictures I’ve found don’t look like it, but there aren’t many yet.
the new station on the 7 that stops at the javitts center. i thought about canary wharf the first time i went through there.
It reminds me a lot of the LRT tunnels beneath Edmonton, Canada as well. I suppose there’s only so much you can do with a subway platform.
