Seeking a Friend for the End of the World proves that Knightley can give a good performance.
Wow, it’s a shame when someone does something cool and then turns around and proves themself to be an asshole.
She’s been good in lots of things. I love her in *Pride & Prejudice.*
Yeah. And any single one of those good performances disproves the claim that she’s unable to do the job.
(So obviously I assume Carney has an axe to grind. But apart from that obvious explanation: maybe the direction was bad, or maybe the script was implausible. Or maybe she was just having a bad month. Or indeed maybe the performance is perfectly good and just wasn’t what Carney wanted. Or maybe she wouldn’t sleep with him. With just this one piece, we can’t make a sensible evaluation.)
