Cardcaptor Sakura: The Movie 2: The Sealed Card (review)

"Sakura Kinomoto has finally captured and converted all the Clow Cards into Sakura Cards and now... someone or something is stealing them away and is erasing vast parts of town including the people she cares about!" If this makes any sense to you, can you explain it to me? I'm not sure I could tell you what this trippy anime fantasy was about if threatened with torture. There's a tiny Japanese girl with huge eyes saving the world, of course, and a flying mini teddy bear -- or it could be a toy stuffed mouse -- with wings, and something about a fiery dragon. Your basic anime plot, in other words. Though this is apparently based on a TV series, I suspect it's secretly a giant ad for one of those trading-card games the kids love. The disc is bare of extras, but puzzling over the film itself could keep you busy for a while, and there's always the hilariously awkward translations from Japanese to laugh over if that's your kind of thing.
