win ‘The Kids in the Hall’ Season 4 on DVD (now closed)

NOW CLOSED. WINNER: Frederick. Click through for the winning caption (and four honorable mentions).

WIN: the 4-DVD set The Kids in the Hall: Complete Season 4 1992–1993

HOW: write a funny caption for an image from the show

THE RULES: If you have not won a prize in one of my caption contests or gimme giveaways in 2006*, and you have a United States mailing address, you're eligible to win. If one or both of those rules exclude you but you're moved by the muse of comedy, feel free to send me a caption anyway -- you might get an honorable mention... but let me know you're entering only for fun. (*Micropatrons who've snagged some exclusive micropatron goodies are eligible to win one of these prizes.)

Oh, two more simple rules: 1) Be clever, be original, make me giggle. 2) One entry per person.

To celebrate the release, on May 30, of the 4th-season collection of The Kids in the Hall, I've got a copy of the set to give away, courtesy of A&E Home Video. Here's the scoop on the set from A&E:

Braver, weirder, and funnier, THE KIDS IN THE HALL: COMPLETE SEASON 4 finds the loveable fivesome reaching new heights of sublime absurdity. By Season Four, the Kids had full creative control of each and every sketch, allowing them to stretch the limits of sketch comedy into brave new territory while continuing the audience-amusing antics that made them cult legends. Highlights include an episode-length sketch starring the Queen of England and the divine confidence of Buddy Cole, favorites like the Chicken Lady and Cathy & Kathie, and fresh newcomers like the Losers and Fight Pickers. The Kids’ most faithful fans are sure to approve of the two best-of compilations because the sketches were chosen by the fans themselves through an online survey.

If you don’t want to wait to win, buy the set at Amazon.

To enter to win the DVDs, send a funny caption for this still from the show:

Frederick's winning caption: "My father was a carny, my mother was a hen hooker, and my brothers and sisters were omelets."

Honorable mentions:

from DeeAnn: "And to think that damned Easter bunny gets all the credit for those eggs!"

from Eric: "Not another chick flick!"

from Steph: "Mrs Doubtfire gets ready for a date to the Rocky Horror Picture Show"

from Christine: "Okay, which one of you boys ordered the chicken delight?"
