not screened for critics: 'The Wicker Man,' 'Crank,' etc.None of the major releases today were screened in advance for critics -- take from that what you will. I'm heading out to catch Crank and The Wicker Man and will have reviews up ASAP, possibly this evening, more likely tomorrow. And keep an eye out for my reviews of today's smaller releases -- Trust the Man, The Quiet, and Lassie -- which did screen for critics, but got lost in my Worldcon black hole. I'll be catching up on those, as well as a whole slew of new giveaways and other stuff, over this holiday weekend and into next week. Plus, as FlickFilosopher moves into its 10th year online, I'm thinking of ways to commemorate that. Stay tuned... |

Crank looks like The Transporter part 3. Bearing in mind that both of those movies disappointed me greatly.

The *Transporter* movies are dreck. *Crank* is, surprisingly, not half bad. My review coming very soon...
