attend a free screening of ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning’

If you absolutely cannot wait for next Friday to see The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Cashing In The Beginning, well, you don’t have to. Not if you’re in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Chicago, where New Line Cinema, in conjunction with Xbox, will be hosting free prerelease screenings of the film, after which you lucky duckies will have the chance to play the new Xbox game Gears of War, which all the kids are excited about, apparently. What a movie about a homicidal maniac has to do with a video game about killing people is a myster-- oh, wait... never mind.

Anyway, go here to sign up for the free tickets to one of these screenings -- they’ll be held this Wednesday, October 4, in the aforementioned cities. If you get in and have a chance to see the flick and play the game, please report back and let us all know what the connection is.

I’ll be seeing the movie on Tuesday -- no word on any predicted video game activity in the area. Though there’s guaranteed to be some idiot -- usually the one sitting right next to me -- playing with his PSP until the lights go down.
