The quirky dramedy Lars and the Real Girl -- from Six Feet Under scribe Nancy Oliver and starring Academy Award nominee Ryan Gosling as Lars Lindstrom, a loveable introvert whose emotional baggage has kept him from fully embracing life -- opens in limited release this week. The soundtrack for the new film Elizabeth: The Golden Age -- starring Cate Blanchett in the second historical epic about the greatest monarch in the history of England -- was released this week. The score features a dynamic collaboration between Craig Armstrong and A.R. Rahman to create powerful and sentimental music as strong and vulnerable as Queen Elizabeth herself.
