bias alert!: I was wrong about ‘Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story’

YES!
current obsession: life on mars
current boyfriend: john simm in anything
i'm psyched: sweeney todd: the demon barber of fleet street
NO!
current enemy: robert zemeckis, for the abomination that is beowulf
i'm dreading: nuthin’

I was wrong about Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, which I had been officially Dreading. I saw it last night, and It. Is. Hi. Larious. I was laughing so hard tears were streaming down my face.

So, for everyone who has ever wonderered whether I’ve been turned out to love a film I was Dreading, here ya go.

I was surprised you had Walk Hard as a Dreaded movie, 'cause you gave Talledaga Nights a good review and it looks to be the same kind of movie...

Is it wrong for me to be disappointed that you like it? 'Cause it looks awful, and I'm someone who loved Talladega Nights, Anchorman, Superbad, etc. Seriously, those ads make it look terrible.

The ads do make it look terrible. But it isn't terrible.

After Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I'm kinda half-dreading Sweeny Todd. I'm sure it'll look fine, but I can't imagine it sounding any better than the 1982 version. In the trailers, Depp's singing sounds God awful.

I'm glad to hear Walk Hard turned out well though. Hopefully, it'll be the first Apatow movie I actually enjoy.

I won't see *Sweeney Todd* till next week, but it's been screening for a week or two already here in NYC. And 99 percent of the critics I've heard talk about it have said that it's, hands down, the best movie of the year.

I can't wait.
