Comedian Dany Boon -- whom I assume is dubbing over Jim Carrey’s dialogue -- is, like, huge in France. I guess that’s why the poster seems so excited about his involvement here.

Posters for Disco are everywhere you turn in Paris. It’s a bit hard to tell in this image, but the central character looks like he’s in his 40s, which suggests to me that this is one of those movies about 70s nostalgia, which in turn suggests to me that old geezers like me getting all wistful for their long-ago adolescence is not a uniquely American subgenre of pop culture.
