‘Doctor Who’ geekiness is everywhere...
Physicist Michio Kaku has a new book out: it’s called Physics of the Impossible: A Scientific Exploration into the World of Phasers, Force Fields, Teleportation, and Time Travel, and this is the jacket (to the right). TARDISes! And over at Bad Astronomy, Coloradan Phil Plait (I did a panel with him at WorldCon in 2006) is blogging from England, where he experienced some sadness: The morning was spent doing the usual ablutions, and when Gia, Brian and I were ready it was off to the London City airport, a smaller airport on the east side of town. We took the train, which went right past Canary Wharf. This, for the hopelessly uncool, is where the Cybermen and Daleks had their final battle, and Rose was trapped in the parallel Universe. As we passed that site, I shed a silent tear for The Doctor’s loss. *sniff* We are all geeks now. (Technorati tags: Doctor Who) Disqus commentsblog comments powered by Disqus |
