in case there was any doubt that Shyamalan has gone over some kind of edge...

...he thinks The Happening is the best B movie ever. He told CNN exactly that:

This is the best B movie you will ever see, that's it.

Well, that’s settled, then.

I just read the same interview. Clearly the man is snorting too much Drano. The real question that comes out of the disaster that is "The Happening" is if Shyamalan is even a good director. Was "The Sixth Sense" a freak accident (kind of like a broken clock being right twice a day)?

I've analyzed his body of work -- and guess what? It isn't that impressive. For those interested: http://tinyurl.com/6qm3ro

Well, I doubt he's going to say that it is the worst B movie ever. Even if it is. Especially if it is.

I guess we really should stop being shocked by this guy's lack of modesty.

So we'll just tell John Carpenter to clean out his locker then.

And Roger Corman...

And John Waters...

And Robert Rodriguez...

And Tobe Hooper...

And...

He has an interesting way of lowering his standards. Maybe he will call his next movie the 'Best Movie Ever That Appears to Have Been Directed by Uwe Boll, but Was Actually Directed by Me; M Night Shymalan'

From what I've read, he's about 3 letters too high.

"He has an interesting way of lowering his standards. Maybe he will call his next movie the 'Best Movie Ever That Appears to Have Been Directed by Uwe Boll, but Was Actually Directed by Me; M Night Shymalan'"

WHAT A TWIST!

"My movie sucks because I planned for it to suck."

Following that logic, perhaps he'll plan for his next movie to succeed, and then it will.

Oh, wait. That was the plan this time... but it obviously didn't work.

Calling your own movie a B movie, is really bad, considering who's in it and how much budget it got.
I don't think M Night Shymalan believes he can top his first big movie. It seems he's stressing his mind maximum capacity and hes not getting any juice.
I do prefer him over Uwe Boll, at least M. Night tries, event if it seems like he tries to hard. Uwe Boll is a disgrace to movies and to German people. He should be working in Berlin at some porn industry with people retarded like himself.
Robert Rodriguez Isn't cleaning his locking out anytime soon, Hes got the genre movie director on lock down.
And J.c well he's old thats his reason for being in a slump, He wasn't able to top Halloween but he did make other classics The Thing, Escape from New York, couple other ones.
Basically were I'm getting at is M.Night knows hes in a slump, but his movies still sell and its just a matter of time before he makes another jem.
