Die Hard With a Vengeance is on TNT right now, and since that’s a basic cable channel all the profanity has been tamed way down. And so Samuel L. Jackson just called Bruce Willis a “racist melon farmer.”
I don’t know what that means, but it’s pretty funny.
MORE: Somehow, “Yippie-kai-ay, my friend” just doesn't have the same ring to it.

I'm sure this has come up before, but one of my favorite cable edits is for The Big Lebowski. Walter is trying to intimidate little Larry Sellers for presumably stealing The Dude's money, and starts smashing up a car while yelling "This is what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps, Larry! This is what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps!"
I challenge you to find meaning in that!

There's a good extra concerning this on the "Shaun of the Dead" DVD.

The Hot Fuzz one is better.

Instead of the that other word, they could have changed SLJ's quote to use the word "motherscratcher" from Raising Arizona.

At least it wasn't Die Hard II, "Yippie Ki-Yay, MIS-TER FAL-COLN."

My favorite is The Usual Suspects.

This question's been plaguing me all day, was this the official cut from the studio or was this done by TNT?
I'm not sure if it's funnier that Sammy L has uttered that phrase professionally or to hear it badly dubbed.

My faves are from romeos Must Die and Me, Myself and Irene.
Hearing Anthony Anderson say things like,
"Mama-jammer" and my (fave) "Monkey-fetus" was priceless.

No clue, but it certainly sounded like Jackson and Willis doing the alternative dialogue, so I guess it was official.

By gosh, I really missed the minced oaths used by the guys in the book in the "Prince Caspian"-movies. Great Scott, that would have been blessed hilarious, it really would have been, by gum! Oh, and the DLF has really been a brick, while Nikabrik, ironically, wasn't.
