The Royal Shakespeare Company production of Hamlet in which David Tennant is now starring in Stratford-upon-Avon will transfer to London for a run starting December 3, through January 10, 2009.
Tickets go on sale at 10am London time tomorrow, Friday, September 12.
Feh. Tried for an hour. Once I got to pick a section and it got to tell me there were no tickets... and then their .NET server died.
Maybe they'll decide they can make even MORE money by coming to NYC. Even with the exchange rate, hard to get tickets cost more here than they're charging.
wow! i bought the tickets almost exactly a year ago, and even then couldn't get the *most* expensive tickets (GBP 40). i hope DT is getting a kick out of his fame and ability to draw people into watching Shakespeare.
A friend of mine currently living in Amsterdam as a grad student saw it a little over a week ago. Her review was simply "stupendous," rather than "the most wonderful moment of my life other than maybe my wedding day," so I'm guessing it's a good production.

I hope some audience members are getting an eye-opening about Shakespeare who otherwise wouldn't have...
