Ron Livingston on not being in the ‘Sex and the City’ movieNow that the Sex and the City movie is out on DVD [Region 1] [Region 2], I can reveal the big secret I’ve been keeping for almost a year: Ron Livingston -- aka Berger, the boyfriend who broke up with Carrie via Post-it Note -- doesn’t mind not having been asked to appear in the movie. Oh, it’s not really a secret, just a neat little tidbit I’ve been hoarding since I spoke to Livingston last autumn, when I couldn’t resist asking him about a character that may be one of the most notorious fictional boyfriends ever: MAJ: Sex and the City has fantasy sequences, flashbacks... dream sequences and nightmares... Are you sorry they didn’t find a part for Berger even if it had been through something like that? RL: There were a lot of boyfriends on that show, and I don’t think there was room for all of them... I’m looking forward to seeing it [laughs] but ultimately, I think, if you had Jack Berger in it, the first thing you’d have to do is ask him about that Post-it Note, and I don’t know what the hell the answer is to that. So put a Post-it Note on Berger. Disqus commentsblog comments powered by Disqus |
