This is Probably based on the connection between Manson and the beach boys. Everyone knows Manson loved the Beatles, just like every other Psychopath does. But the connection with Manson and the beach boys is they encountered the same music producer. However since Manson's music wasn't as pop as the beach boys, the producer turned down Charlie.
Year goes by Charlie takes tons drugs with a few hippies. The word murder comes up and the name of the beach boys producer comes up. He brain washes the hippies to go to the producers house and murder him. Only the producer doesn't live there anymore Shanon Tate does.
Charlie didn't kill anyone, but to say he had nothing to do with it, would be an overstatement.
