watch it: “The Theft of 2008”

Greg Palast is an American journalist who had to go to England to do his job. Now he works for that wacko pinko commie outfit known as the BBC. This 14-minute report appeared on BBC Newsnight -- it’s the equivalent of your local nightly news, but you try looking for something of this depth on your local nightly news.

Watch the report in two parts after the jump.

Greg Palast also did some amazing coverage of the Katrina disaster and has a dvd available basically a "J'accuse" of everyone from FEMA's head on up to the country's head. really heartbreaking. his website is useful and informative:

I wouldn't say it's the equivalent of a local nightly news programme. It's more of an in-depth current affairs type show, with a longer running time and on a minority channel.
