trailer break: ‘Coraline’
Take a break from work: watch a movie trailer...
Or, The Curious Case of Ocular Buttons?
Ah, lovely. I saw the film this week, and I can tell you that this trailer does not ruin the experience the way so many do, that it gives a genuine and fair sense of what you’re in store for without spoiling all the surprises you’re gonna get, either.
Coraline opens in the U.S. on February 6 and in the U.K. on May 15.

Neil Gaiman + Henry Selick? Definitely aweseome.
I've always loved his animation (James & the Giant Peach, especially). Definitely looking forward to this!

Me too. I'd heard about this, but didn't realize it was coming out so soon.
Should keep my Animation obsession occupied for a few months, while I wait for Up! and 9.

That looks very good, if a little reminisent of Pan's Labyrinth.
It seems as all the good movies are out in May.

It really isn't, though.

Oh dear. This looks cutesy. No thank you. But then to capture the menace of the story in an animation couldn't have been done by anyone outside of Jan Svankmajer or the Brothers Quay.
I just pray no-one decides to murder Clive Barker's 'The Thief of Always', another beautifully dark children's story.
Ah well, back to the book.

Rest easy: It's not cutesy.
