‘Battlestar Galactica’: the final Cylon

The third of my four preview/speculations about the final ten episodes of Battlestar Galactica is up now at Film.com.

Please comment over there, if you would (and if you can get past the registration problems the site still seems to be having). So few postings at Film.com seem to generate much conversation in comments, and I’d love to impress the overlords there with something that looks like a comments thread here. Minus the recent influx of trolls, of course.

But then I'd have to register there. :/

I will stick with my wildcard (as opposed to Gaeta).

The final cylon will end up being a self-aware version of the Centurion model - we've witnessed the Centurions evolving from slave to freed slave to making their own decisions.

I'm probably wrong though because for some reason the Base Ship hybrids are disqualified.

Sigh. I'm a broken record, I know, but I still cannot register at film.com.

Part of me is wondering how much they have and haven't 'borrowed' from the original BSG. For example, the whole Count Iblis plotline. I'm just wondering if Iblis is the final Cylon, a Tempter of devilish proportions that have been leading both Humans and Cylons astray...

So who would fit that Tempter role? Of the better known minor characters, Tigh's wife is the only one who fits...

Sigh. I'm a broken record, I know, but I still cannot register at film.com.

No, thanks for letting me know. I have no control over this except to bug them again, but I will do that.
