daily open threadAnother new feature, and one you can expect every day Monday through Friday. News stories I missed? Stuff you’d like me to cover? Questions you have for me? Something movie-, TV-, DVD-, or pop culture-related you want to talk about? This is where to do it. Disqus commentsblog comments powered by Disqus |

Have you ever thought about making your old reviews available for comment?

Why I suggested a weekly instead of a daily is twofold. 1) less work (not that it matters to me) and (more importantly) (2) Conversation tracking.
Check out that yellow box in the main list, which shows the threads responded to in the day. If you have enough with the same title, it sort of blurs which one we're talking about.

Hey did you see? New season of Hustle! I guess I should dust off my season 4 eps and get caught up. And thank the gods, Adrian Lester is back.

I'd like to second the idea of making it a weekly discussion thread, or perhaps a twice-weekly thread. New thread on Friday for the weekend discussion and on Monday to last the week. A new one every ay makes it very hard to follow a conversation or to track down a comment. Twice a week feels right to me.

Yes, I have. And I haven't made a decision about it yet.
Point taken on the frequency of open threads. I'll give it some thought.

MAJ - have you watched the Dr. Horrible DVD - specifically, have you had the pleasure of watching it with "Commentary! The Musical"?

Any plans to see/review some of the following: "The Wrestler," "Transsiberian," "Standard Operating Procedure," "Encounters at the End of the World" and "Hunger"...

I have the Dr. Horrible DVD but haven't watched it yet; hope to (and to review it) very soon.
David: Yes to *Wrestler* and *Hunger* -- again, hopefully very soon. Probably not the others anytime soon.

Anyone else get annoyed at the "HELLO!!!" of the smiley ad this the site ?
It's ridiculously loud.

MAJ - when you get around to "Commentary! The Musical" on your Dr Horrible dvd, you may be confused by one thing - a full-length song called Ninja Ropes.
I got the backstory for that after I watched/listened to it - it seems that between takes, the whole cast and crew apparently killed time by playing a very low-tech game on their cell phones called Ninja Ropes.
Nathan's high score kicked everyone else's ass.
I'm sure this ridiculously geeky bit of information will enhance your viewing pleasure.
