trailer break: ‘Franklyn’

Take a break from work: watch a trailer...

Another film I saw advertised in the tube in London, and of course it caught my attention because the poster makes it look like some kind of science fiction or science fantasy. Which, it turns out, it is.

Finally seeing the trailer lessens my curiosity somewhat, however. Does the world really need another masked-vigilante movie? The movies looks visually interesting, but I need a lot more than that to intrigue me.

The film’s wikipedia page goes into some detail about the film, which apparently features parallel realities and concerns itself at least in part with matters of religion and atheism. So the scales of my interest tip back again in the other direction, just a bit.

I’ll probably end up buying this on Region 2 DVD before it ever gets released in the U.S....

Anvil! The Story of Anvil opens in the U.K. on February 27; no U.S. release date has yet been announced.

The trailer is made to look a lot like the Watchmen trailer.
