trailer break: ’17 Again’

Take a break from work: watch a trailer...

Um, Freaky Friday much?

Um, we’re supposed to believe that Matthew Perry looked like Zac Efron 25 years ago?

That’s funny. The rest of it? Ugh.

Look, I like Zac Efron. He’s adorable, he’s talented, but he needs a better agent if this is the best he can do after High School Musical.

Also, I feel kinda sorry for Matthew Perry, and I’m not sure that’s something I ever imagined saying.

17 Again opens in the U.S. and the U.K. on April 17.

Matthew Perry was and still is charming and good-looking. And at 17-20, if you look at the TV shows he did in the late 80s, he didn't look that different from Zac.

You, on the other hand, can't seem to come up with an original comment that's more than a derivative put-down. Maybe, just maybe, he was cast because he and Zac somehow complement each other in this role. I see that you, having apparently already seen the movie, know enough to dismiss it.

Well, through the wonder of the internets we can find an actual high school pic of Mr. Perry at age 17 here:

Maybe it was an off day - high school year book pictures are never what we hope they would be - but it doesn't look much like Zac Ephron to me. In fact, it looks exactly like Matthew Perry, only younger.

If you wanted an exact likeness to Zac then you'd have to cast someone like John Stamos...and nobody wants that.
