screencap Friday: what the flick? #57

Friday fun! Here’s a screen capture from one of the DVDs in my collection (and it’s definitely from a movie, not a TV show). Guess the movie for fun and, well, fun. No prizes, just bragging rights. But hey: one guess per comment -- no fair hogging all the guesses.

Top Gun? Is that little Tom Cruise?

Hmm. Kind of looks like Daniel Craig's back. I have to go with Casino Royale on this.

The End of the Affair?

Gonna say The English Patient.

OMG. Last week was bad enough but this hurts my eyes.

Fight Club.

Looks like Good Will Hunting to me. I could be wrong though. In fact, I'm almost certainly wrong!

this is sort of agreement with English Patient, never seen it but i did see "the Constant gardner", Is it that one?

All wrong. All very cold.

L'amant?

lets look at the evidence...

Broad tanned shoulders...

Big male head, ear is discernable...

Thin, feminine arm and elbow wrapped around said head...

I GOT IT! Hercules Vs. The Moon Men!

Body Heat?

Lust, Caution?

Where do you see broad, tanned shoulders and a male head, or Daniel Craig's back? The only clear image is a woman's leg from the knee down and the hem of her skirt. With possibly her other leg in shadow.

Althea, I guess your browser must be mixing up pictures... ;-)

Still no one has guessed.

The Sound of Music (just before the Nazis in the cemetery)

Dangerous Liaisons?

That there, I believe, is Gollum.

Which film, though, is a little tricksy.

Possibly LotR: RotK... the scene near the end, when he and Frodo are fighting over the ring, above the fires from whence it came.

Entres Nous before Miou-Miou goes gay.

Oops. I retract my guess.
That's kinda freaky; sorta like one of those picture-in-a-picture things, where you can see one of two different things, depending on how you have your eyes focused. Mine were obviously hopped-up on the cold meds when I looked at this the first time.
No wonder the other guesses weren't making any sense to me...

What I thought was a leg could also be a forearm, with a short black sleeve and bent elbow to wrist. You can make out a line that is proportionate for a leaning torso, just to the left.

American Psycho?

Gods and Monsters?

Eyes Wide Shut?

So... which one is it?

No one guessed, and the next one is up, so I'll tell you: It's *Chicago.*

That arm doesn't look like Ms. Zellweger's. (Says the guy who's embarrassed because he actually owns this DVD, watched it a number of times and still didn't guess the right answer.)
