London cinemasLast batch of pix from my recent visit. A walk around the Leicester Square movie district, which is like Times Square doubled. (There are two big multiplexes in Times Square in New York, but four in Leicester Square, two of which are named Odeon.)
And then there was this, the only other cinema I saw in my wanderings around London, on Portobello Road:
Cute. (I probably should share photos of the NYC movie scene with you too, shouldn’t I? Maybe I’ll do that soon...) Disqus commentsblog comments powered by Disqus |

Leicester Square really is some sort of heaven for the moviegoers, and It's really cute too.
But I still remember going this august to the AMC 25 on the 42th stret, while I was on holiday in NYC, and watching I Want To Believe on the sixth floor ... awesome !!!!

The Price Charles Cinema is about a half block off Leicester Square and shows an interesting mix of classic and almost-current movies every day... Definitely worth checking out next time.

I saw "Young Victoria" at the Chelsea Cinema (at 206 King's Road, which I know, because we trudged a long way looking for #206), which was a throwback old theater... not that far back, though -- say, the 70s, perhaps... We loved it, because it was VAST. Only one screen there, and the screen was huge; the theater itself was gigantic. I read online that it has 720 seats, and it felt like it.
