my week at the movies: nuthin’

OOPS: Looks like I spoke too soon. I just heard about a screening of Observe and Report tonight that I'll attend. I shall observe and report. And another of 17 Again this week, also now on my radar...

It’s one of those rare weeks when I’ve either already seen everything on offer or there’s a dozen more screenings of a film still to come and it doesn’t open till June anyway. So I’m taking a break from screenings this week, and hoping to spend some time making a tiny dent in the piles and piles of DVDs sitting here staring at me balefully, as if I’ve abandoned them. And maybe catch up on reviews I’ve been meaning to write for a while.

It’s ironic: the more time I devote to actually seeing movies, the less time I have to write about them. That seems wrong, somehow: right as far as the laws of the universe and temporal physics are concerned, but wrong as far as how things should work.
