watch it: “Fox has a teabagg’n problem”

Perhaps this puts to rest the whole “Are they evil, or merely stupid?” debate when it comes to certain segments of the population:

You're missing the point MaryAnn. It's possible to be both evil AND stupid, and that's what they keep proving.

if you think the "teabagg'n" video is bad, watch how the wingnuts were talking prior to the rescue of Captain Phillips from thepirates last sunday.

Un-freaking-believable. A) Who cares if Obama has or hasn't taken time to comment on a single man's plight. That's why there's a frigging chain of command. B) What'd they want the Navy to do, blow the raft out of the water? Yeah, that'll surely save the captain! These people don't understand the difference between a scalpel and a sledgehammer.

Best quote I've seen in a while, from David Shuster:

"We can only speculate why widespread tea bagging made [Fox News' Neil] Cavuto think of the Million Man march, unless he got them confused with Dick Armey.

"And in Cavuto's defense, if you are planning simultaneous tea bagging all around the country, you're going to need a Dick Armey."

I was wondering how long we could talk about teabagging before someone brought up how homoerotic it was all starting to sound.

The other dumb part about this is the whole reference to the Boston Tea Party. The Boston patriots who threw the tea into the harbor weren't saying that taxes, as such, were wrong. What they were protesting is having to pay taxes without having a say in the matter -- the whole "taxation without representation" issue.

Whether someone agrees or disagrees with the tax they have to pay, it is not "taxation without representation." Our tax system was put into place by our elected representatives.

You'd think that these folks, who wrap themselves in the American flag, would at least know enough American history to know that.

Jim

@Jim No kidding! If you don't like your representation, we have a system in place for dealing with that. >B)
