I'm sorry, but that's just crap. Do they have any idea how much fraud there is in Medicare? Sorry, but that's just going to put us into a different kind of mess when it comes to our healthcare system.

Pollas, do you have any idea how much fraud there is in the private insurance industry? As in, finding ways to deny coverage to people who need it?
Or is that just evil?
I guess, since no human institution will ever be perfect, we shouldn't try fixing the blatantly broken ones. Oh well. Silly me.

About a third of all medical bills paid in the U.S. are paid by Medicare or Medicaid, so our system is already 33% "socialized." Political conservatives talk around this elephant in the living room.
What really gets me are the older people I know who rant against the evils of socialized medicine, yet unhesitatingly bill their medical care to the government.
