trailer break: ‘Dance Flick’Take a break from work: watch a trailer... Oh dear god, the Wayanses are at it again. I love how they manage to blend racial stereotypes and misogyny in the trailer alone, with just a hint of incest for flavor. Bravo. I wish I could say that it was a mystery why movies like this continue to get made. Alas that it’s true that they do tend to make huge profits: their box office is never enormous, but they’re cheap to produce. And no one ever went broke underestimating the stupidity -- or the bigotry -- of the public. Dance Flick opens in the U.S. on May 22, and in the U.K. on September 18.
