opening in the U.K. May 29: ‘Drag Me to Hell,’ ‘Obsessed,’ ‘12 Rounds,’ ‘Jonas Brothers,’ more

Drag Me to Hell: “I welcome the dead into my soul.” Go on, say it -- it’s easy!

Obsessed: Bitches be crazy. It’s all you need to know.

12 Rounds: John Cena thinks he’s Bruce Willis in Die Hard. It’s so cute, really.

Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience: “And three brothers shall walk among them, and they shall be unto the ears of the many as melodious, and they shall be said to rock, and the righteous will know them for deceivers.” [trailer]

Fermat’s Room: A Spanish thriller about mathematics. Woo-hoo! I knew this title sounded familiar: it was at Tribeca last year. [IMDB]

Fireflies in the Garden: Ryan Reynolds stars in this drama as a struggling novelist: the boy does continually surprise me. And geez, look at the rest of this cast: Willem Dafoe, Emily Watson, Carrie-Anne Moss, Julia Roberts, Ioan Gruffudd, Hayden Panettiere... It’s an American film, far as I can see, but it looks like this isn’t yet slated for a U.S. release, though... [IMDB]

Sleep Furiously: Documentary about village life in Wales. I know we’re supposed to make fun of the Welsh, but I don’t get it. I found Wales charming and delightful, and its people lovely, and I’m looking forward to visiting again. [IMDB]

Fugitive Pieces: Coming of age tale about a boy who escaped Poland during WWII and ended up in Canada. Features Ayelet Zurer, who’s currently in Angels & Demons. This had a tiny release in North America this time last year. [official site]
