question of the day: What movie are you most looking forward to in June?

The taking of Pelham123 is most intriguing to me. None of the comedies or dramas look super, Transformers might be OK.

Judging by the list, I'd say I'm looking forward to seeing Star Trek and the Brothers Bloom again.

Pretty weak month. I'd have to say I'm equally eager to see The Proposal and The Taking of Pelham 123.

This is actually the weakest months of June I've ever seen. Only the Transformers movie looks to be a genuine blockbuster and everything is like meager two-bit comedies. And I'm not talking good comedies either, dammit I miss Monty Python... :/

The only 2009 movie I'm genuinely excited about at this point is Sherlock Holmes, and it doesn't come out until Christmas.

Definitely going to see The Hangover. The trailer looks hilarious, and I could use the laughs.
I'm sure Transformers 2 will look cool, if nothing else.

Transformers may be fun in a silly sort of way, but I'm not looking forward to it the way I was looking forward to Up or Star Trek (or am still looking forward to Harry Potter).

I've seen way too many commercials for The Hangover, and it looks painfully stupid.

Land of the Lost looks silly (and I never cared much for the original series).

The Taking of Pelham 123 may be OK, but I'm not sure if I'll bother.

And the rest I don't know much about, so that means I'm not looking forward to them.

First week - The Hangover (I think it looks funny, which is probably aided by the fact that I haven't been trailer-overloaded by it)

Second week - maybe Pelham 123, maybe not. Might take that week off.

Third week - Nothin' ... though I might end up getting dragged to Year One.

Fourth week - Transformers, because giant robots and explosions are pretty much always fun on some level.

I agree with Jim on The Hangover, the commercials for which have been on constantly during the hockey playoffs.

The only movie I'm looking forward to this month is Away We Go, an indie flick with an interesting cast featuring Maya Rudolph and Jim Krazinski (probably sic, but the guy from The Office).

This seems to be a pretty poor month for new movie releases. I might go see Up again as it was lots of fun.

I can't wait to watch Pontypool, which is available now via on Demand.

I'm not sure when Moon (starring Sam Rockwell) is set for release, but I'm looking forward to that flick as well.

All the mainstream stuff is leaving me very cold.

Say what you will about Mr. Tarantino, but watching his films with a live theater audience is always a blast, so I'll be there when Inglorious Bastards hits the theaters.

But the other stuff....Year One? No thanks. A goofy buddy comedy in which the "geeky one" lusts for a chick that doesn't know he's alive...or whatever. Seen that before, except this one is set in, heh, year one.

Dance Flick? Please. Plus, the Wayans cast one of their nephews in movie...nepotism....gotta love it. Then again, these "movies," like Not Another Scary Movie and Meet the Spartans aren't really films at all, are they? They're cinematic wastes of time built to make money off of the more undemanding members of the movie watching population.

Well, June does seem weak ... I feel bad for being slightly interested in The Proposal ..but I think it's going to turn into another one of those idiotic, so called romantic comedies, in the same vein of Shopaholic ..and He's not that into you ..and Bride Wars and ..oh, God, can you imagine they made these many retarded films, apparently addressed to a mainly female audience?

Shame, because Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds seemed like an interesting starting point..but...it's all downhill from there.

And how could anyone consider The Hangover funny? OK, let me rephrase that: How old do you have to be to consider that film funny?
