opening in the U.K. June 19: ‘Year One,’ ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,’ ‘Miss March,’ ‘Away We Go,’ ‘Moon,’ moreYear One: Oh god, there’s gonna be a sequel, isn’t there? Year Two? For the love of Brian, someone make it stop... Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: By the time I see this come Monday afternoon, its debut-weekend fate in the U.K. will already be known. Weird. [trailer] Miss March: Man, we are just dumping all our crap from the spring on our British friends. Please don’t hate us. Away We Go: Away John Krasinsky and Maya Rudolph go to England. No, not really. [trailer] Moon: Sam Rockwell’s feet don’t hardly touch the ground, walkin’ on, walkin’ on the moon... [trailer] Telstar: British 60s-nostalgia drama about a music producer. Kevin Spacey is in this (not as the producer) -- looks like he’s making the most of his transfer to England. [official site] The Disappeared: How cool must a horror flick directed by a guy named Johnny Kevorkian be? Harry Potter alert: costars Tom Felton, aka Draco Malfoy. [official site] Gigantic: American indie starring Paul Dano and Zooey Deschanel as -- I’m guessing here -- quirky people doing offbeat things to an alt-rock soundtrack. [official site] Katyn: Drama about a Soviet massacre in Poland in 1940. Don’t mention the war! [IMDB] Disqus commentsblog comments powered by Disqus |

Are you sure about this, MaryAnn? I'm looking through yesterday's Guardian and the films reviewed are Katyn, Transformers 2, Gigantic, Beyond the Fire, Telstar, The Disappeared and a rerelease of North by Northwest. No mention of Year One, Moon, Away We Go or Miss March.
