the oh-no! DVD of the week: ‘Michael Jackson - The Trial and Triumph of the King of Pop’Oh, don’t worry: this quickie DVD wasn’t assembled to cash in on Michael Jackson’s death. It was assembled to cash in on the series of 50 concerts in London he was about to embark upon when he died. The fact that the producers can now cash in on his death is pure dumb luck: Michael Jackson The Trial and Triumph of The King of Pop was intended to be released to coincide with MJ s spectacular ''This Is It'' mega concert at London’s O2 Arena. However, due to his sad and untimely passing, this film is perhaps even more moving and poignant as it shows that his fans from all over the world were constantly loyal, always believed in his innocence and never gave up hope that he would emerge victorious. Michael Jackson was the world’s biggest superstar and perhaps the greatest entertainer of all time. Michael’s achievements almost came crashing down during his child molestation trial. This film gives you the insight behind the scenes of the sometimes chaotic and outrageous Michael Jackson trial. Found not guilty by the court of law, survived the tabloid onslaught and negative campaigns, Michael Jackson was on the comeback trail to reclaim his past glory with a concert that was sadly never realised. The hyperbole, it burns! Disqus commentsblog comments powered by Disqus |
