trailer break: ‘Aliens in the Attic’Take a break from work: watch a trailer... Wow, Kevin Nealon? Really? Haven’t seen him around in a while. Guess he’s just perfect for the goofy sitcom-ish dad these days, huh? Oo, the aliens look like the cute little mining creatures in Galaxy Quest... you know, the ones that turned out to be vicious little buggers. And they appear to have borrowed the Gremlins dynamic: one nice one, a bunch of mean ones. Oh, look: crotch humor. Wonderful. Are we sure this is from writers of Madagascar and Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit? Is “Robert Hoffman” someone who deserves to get his name mentioned like that in a trailer? Who the hell is he? Am I hopelessly uncool when it comes to stars the kids are all into these days? [checks IMDB...] Does an appearance in Step Up 2: The Streets count as “hot”? If so, I really am out of it. And of course there’s a wacky grandma. Aliens in the Attic opens in the U.S. on July 31 and the U.K. on August 7. Disqus commentsblog comments powered by Disqus |

Hey! Check it out! Mildred from Remington Steele!!
Bet she enjoyed this role. :) I mean, if you gotta be a granny, you might as well be an xtreme fighter, too.

I hate that trailer guy's voice. He only deals exclusively with bad family films. Whenever i hear it, i just know i'm not watching that film.
There seems to be two "movie-trailer-voice-over-guys" working in Hollywood today.
The guy who took over where Don LaFontain left, and this guy. He's distinctive pauses between his phrases have been made fun of countless times in South Park. Whenever they're doing the trailer for a crap film, they mimick his speech pattern. ;)
